Sales email signature

In sales, the signature is the last thing a prospect sees before deciding whether to reply. Make the next step obvious: one direct number and one call to action, usually a booking link.

What to include

  • Name, title and company
  • A direct line or mobile, not the switchboard
  • One clear call-to-action button such as "Book a 15-min call"
  • Company website
  • LinkedIn, which prospects often check before replying

What to leave out

  • More than one call to action
  • Large promotional banners on every reply in a thread
  • Tracking-heavy link shorteners, which spam filters distrust

For general rules on length, fonts and disclaimers, see email signature best practices.

Questions people ask

Should a sales signature have a booking link?

Usually yes. A single "Book a call" button removes a round of back-and-forth about times. Use one CTA, not three.

Do banners in signatures hurt deliverability?

A single hosted image rarely matters on its own, but image-heavy emails with little text are a classic spam pattern. Keep banners for first-touch emails, not every reply.
